Can you all forgive me for making the 301 post the comic launch? The past week and some change haas been hell. Inventory. Days and days of exhaustive facing and cleaning and prep so when the inventory team arrived they could get everything counted in one day. Then we had to put everything back where it originally was. Ugh. Everyone, including me, got a jump in hours for awhile. Just starting to get back to normal. So I've been sleeping a lot and stuffing my fat face. Did get on computer briefly cuz my phone-email check showed a present from Mich and I wanted to read it ^_^ and bop into some recent blogs of others (hi lil sis!) And I also remember someone asked me how to get into ketosis. Don't remember who asked tho. Why didn't I approve my comments when on comp? Stupid me.
anyway ketosis happens when your carbs get real low. Like if you only eat 20g of carbs a day. The first time I did it I was miserable. Gray outs and dizzy and nausea. Blech! But my body did get better at transitioning into ketosis. Now I get a dull headache for several hours, that's my transition sign, and once I'm in I can tell because my body temp goes up a bit, I feel hot. And sometimes get a bad taste in my mouth. . In winter I like being in ketosis cuz I don't feel as cold. Too bad winter is also when all the holiday goodies are around!
I do have comic news tho... after several days of Piggy McBingey I was on my bed feeling depressed, and ended up doing a brief 20 hr water fast just cuz I didn't want to get up. Always water at my bedside tho. But anyway after just lying there my computer-moronic brain finally figured out how to deal with bmp to jpg conversions. It was like "umm hello? Did you forget about that Artweaver program?!??"
and yea... I had totally forgotten. Turns out Artweaver if set to Max Quality can turn bmp to jpg with slight color change but no grainy uglyness. Just once converted, I can't open the pic up in Paint anymore because any editing will wonk the pic upon saving. I also got a few fonts from the internet-computer onto my bedroom computer. Can't believe I had to look up how to do that. I run Windows ffs.
I also got the Chasing The Reds album finally transferred to bedroom. Should have done that months ago. The bouncy songs put me in cartooning mode a bit easier. Oh! Want a free download? Facing is my nightmare job. I hate being put onto light duties because light duties=FACING THE ENTIRE FUCKING SHOP. And it's a big supermarket.

OMFG I'M SO GOING TO WATCH THAT! Beyonce? Seriously?? No way! I saw a vid of her the other day and she looked like she was trying to copy Whitney Houston and Rihanna while being crammed into her waist cincher. I so bet she wears one for most of her vids.

Omg beyonce's thing is killing me, HOW can she sing like that, HOW? I think the neighbours dogs are howling along, or is that just her? AAAAAAAAAAAHHHH MAKE IT STOP MAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOP!!! Does she just not CARE?? At least vocaloids and ilysabeth are honest about being autotuned!

I look forward to seeing your comics, whenever it is you get around to posting. It's this great mystery to me since I've seen so little of your work (I remember a flooded basement and Honor with/without makeup heh).
ReplyDeleteCollege is worth it! You might consider opting for a "practical" degree then using the income from that to fund your philosophy degree. I think my most important lesson learned is that doing something (like one class per semester) is more valuable than doing nothing, and it's worlds better than trying to load up on too many classes and dropping/failing them because I overreached. Don't be too hard on yourself for struggling... but don't give up on the dream either <3
