Science and religious belief are NOT mutually exclusive. I have no idea why so many people seem to think so!
(Probably the history of scientists getting stuck and saying 'God did it!' and giving up, and those psychotic Creationists/people who take the entire bible literally)
Science is fucking awesome. Without it we'd still be dying illiterate in our 20s/30s of stupid shit and lighting our homes with candles.
My main problem with religion is people using it as an excuse to be unmitigated assholes to each other and to cause all kinds of harm (Both short and long-term) to people/animals/the planet without conscience because a book/holy man/deity says that it is ok.
Funnily enough, militant Atheists piss me off as much as Militant Religious Peoples. The whole STOP TRYING TO FORCE EVERYONE TO THINK THE SAME issue that gets on my tits XD
